Our water-fed skirting board heaters are linked to the hot water supply using distribution systems, such as underfloor heating or a thermostat valve on the hot water system. Each individual heating strip contains a heating element (heating coil), which consists of two adjacent copper pipes that are warmed by the hot water flowing through. There is a heat-conducting sheet pressed on top which is also made from copper containing trapezoidal slats to ensure optimum heat conduction. A base panel and covering panel provide a consistent look.
Our electrical skirting board heaters are connected to the mains supply and are thus ideal for holiday homes, mobile homes and damp rooms. Each skirting heater is fitted with heating rods and protective conductors, which act as heating coils and are electrically heated by the current flowing through them. A base panel and covering panel provide a consistent look. The electrical heaters are controlled using a room thermostat that is operated manually or by radio control. Cable plug, cable sockets, connection cables as well as mains connection cable are included in delivery.
Our electric and water-fed skirting heaters are supplied with white panels as standard (traffic white, RAL 9016). However, we can provide heaters in the entire RAL colour spectrum on request, or even with a wood-design. This enables the design to be perfectly tailored to meet your expectations and blend in with the ambiance of your room. Nothing will stand in your way to creating an attractive room design with skirting board heaters!

Skirting board heating, often called strip heaters or baseboard heating, is an especially innovative and energy-efficient way of heating. They are mounted to the indoor side of external walls just above the floor in the same way as conventional skirting boards, and form a link between floor and wall. They way in which skirting heaters function is simple: they heat the room using electricity or hot water by radiating heat up and over the walls. This radiant heat spreads throughout the room, instead of rising from the bottom to top and becoming stuck at ceiling level, as is the case with convection heating. The walls also absorb a portion of the radiant heat that is generated. This prevents them from cooling down and becoming prone to damp. Do you have mildew in your room due to damp and cold exterior walls? Black mould with spores flying through the air damaging your health? Not if you have skirting boards by Energy-com installed!
The heat generated by the baseboard heaters is distributed quickly and very evenly in the room and is transferred not only to the walls but also to furniture and other fixtures. A cosy and pleasant warmth is created without cold zones and with minimal air circulation. Since there is virtually no micro-dust formation, skirting board heating is popular with allergy sufferers and asthmatics. Another advantage: Due to the quick and even heating of the rooms, energy can be saved, which of course also has an effect on energy costs. A skirting board heater is therefore not only good for your health, but also beneficial for the environment and your wallet. Depending on the chosen version, the skirting heaters are operated either as electric baseboard heating or as a water-bearing model. While the water-leading-baseboard-heaters is connected to the water circuit and its rods are heated inside by the hot water flowing through, the electric baseboard-heater is simply connected to the mains. The use of this heating system is thus particularly sustainable and entirely in the spirit of environmental protection.
